I also did not paint the back of the buckle black as I've done on my newer ones (only the ProMouse buckles).
As part of my job, I'm constantly having to get rid of old computer hardware that's either broken or out of date. I usually put it all on a pallet and wait for our local e-waste recycling day, so I can dispose of it properly. I was packing up a box of computer mice one day when I realized that a Mac mouse was about the same size as the belt buckle I had been wearing! I thought this would be a fun and fashionable way to upcycle those old mice!
I have a few of these I will be turning into buckles, so the one pictured might not be the one you get. Keep in mind these are built out of USED mice, so there might be some minor scuffs and scratches on each one. Prior to construction, I clean each mouse thoroughly with alcohol and cotton balls/cotton swabs/toothpicks to ensure they are coming to you as clean and shiny as possible.
My supply of broken mice is limited, so if you'd like a buckle, you'd better grab one while you can. I won't be able to make any new ones until somebody breaks another one!
Each buckle measures about 4.25 inches by 2.5 inches and will fit up to a 1.75 inch belt.
** belt and laptop are not included in purchase :)
