This buckle was built out of a non-functioning Mac Mighty Mouse.
As part of my job, I'm constantly having to get rid of old computer hardware that's either broken or out of date. I usually put it all on a pallet and wait for our local e-waste recycling day, so I can dispose of it properly. I was packing up a box of computer mice one day when I realized that a Mac mouse was about the same size as the belt buckle I had been wearing! I thought this would be a fun and fashionable way to upcycle those old mice!
Keep in mind these are built out of USED mice, so there might be some minor scuffs and scratches on each one. Prior to construction, I clean each mouse thoroughly with alcohol and cotton balls/cotton swabs/toothpicks to ensure they are coming to you as clean and shiny as possible.
This is the only Mighty Mouse that has broken so far, so it's the only buckle I'll be able to make out of one until somebody goes into a rage and rips the cord off of theirs. So if you like it, you'd better grab it… there might not be another!
Each buckle measures about 4.25 inches by 2.5 inches and will fit up to a 1.75 inch belt.
** belt and laptop are not included in purchase :)
