This buckle was built out of a non-functioning Compaq 2-button roller-type computer mouse that is tan in color. THIS BUCKLE IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN THE ONE PICTURED: the Compaq logo is actually under the LEFT button instead of the right one and the bottom of the mouse is a little darker in color. Otherwise it is the same.
As part of my job, I'm constantly having to get rid of old computer hardware that's either broken or out of date. I usually put it all on a pallet and wait for our local e-waste recycling day, so I can dispose of it properly. I was packing up a box of computer mice one day when I realized that a mouse was about the same size as the belt buckle I had been wearing! I thought this would be a fun and fashionable way to upcycle those old mice!
Keep in mind these are built out of USED mice, so there might be some minor scuffs and scratches on each one. Prior to construction, I clean each mouse thoroughly with alcohol and cotton balls/cotton swabs/toothpicks to ensure they are coming to you as clean and shiny as possible.
I just acquired several new (well, new to me) mice is a variety of brands and colors that I will be listing as buckles in the coming weeks.
Each buckle will fit up to a 1.75 inch belt.
** belt and laptop are not included in purchase :)
