A beautiful pair of antique buttons. They feature individually cut pieces of steel riveted to a steel base. You cannot wash these as they will rust from the moisture. Victorians would remove these buttons prior to washing their clothes. These buttons are from the late 1800's and are very hard to find in matching sets. Steel cuts buttons were very popular during the Victorian era and are greatly sought after by button collectors. This button is a bit unusual in that it has been tinted various shades of blue. It looks like a delicate piece of lace. The shank has been left in tack to preserve the value of the button.

The earring and filigree measure 3/4" across. The total earring measures 1.5" from top to bottom.
