This painting is inspired by the idea that we carry our past with us, which can be a good or bad thing. Our memories may be beautiful re-creations of what really happened which aren’t based in reality. However, they become our stories or our histories and our realities.
I painted this on a stretched canvas with professional quality acrylics and the piece has an archival varnish to protect it. I also used gel pen, oil pasted, a vintage text book and imprinting techniques. There is a saw tooth hanger at the back so there is no need for framing, it is ready to enjoy as soon as you unpack it!
