Remember the days of those wonderful swingy skirts of the 40's and 50's? Here is an apron which captures that skirt. We work from authentic original vintage patterns. We researched many old yellowed patterns ( most had the original factory folds and had never been used before) in search of an apron that is truly flattering to all sizes, shapes and curves. We found it in this vintage 1940's Marian Martin mail order pattern. Enjoyed on many different body types, it always gets a big thumbs up. With that lovely swing to the skirt, a hemline that dips to a point, and topped off with a sweetheart neckline, this apron is sure to please. It has lots of extra detailing including contrasting ties, a heart shaped pocket and wide pink bias trim.
It is made from 100% quilter's quality cotton with a delightful big bright hibiscus print and a contrasting chartreuse pocket. With silky sateen hot pink 32” ties at the back and 25" silky sateen chartreuse neck ties, it is a one size apron that fits almost everyone (size 2 to 16). Convo us if you would like a more generous size. On the practical side, it can be machine washed on cool and machine dried on low.
We enjoy this apron pattern so much that we offer it in two other fabrics: our Vintage Apron in Pink and Purple Flowers http://etsy.me/AruwhA and our Vintage Apron in Pink Leaves http://etsy.me/vsdoi5.
We now offer a matching Oven Mitt in Hibiscus! See it at this link: http://etsy.me/H2Il3x and our 5th photo.
