This Impressionistic Plein Air painting was done one hot evening on the Eastern side of Arizona. I really tried to capture the subtlety of the warm and cool grays in the clouds as the sun sank beneath the horizon. This values and colors give the painting the feeling of reality while the thickly painted brushstrokes give the painting a nice contemporary feel to the painting. The painting is on canvas mounted on board and measure 9 1/2" x 7". This will make a lovely edition to your collection.
