Old meets new in this vintage apron pattern in a decidedly modern fabric. We took one of our favorite vintage patterns and sent it spinning with this vibrant everglades print.
Remember the days of those wonderful swingy skirts of the 40's and 50's? Here is an apron which captures that skirt. We work from authentic original vintage patterns. We researched many old yellowed patterns ( most had the original factory folds and had never been used before) in search of an apron that is truly flattering to all sizes, shapes and curves. We found it in this vintage 1940's Marian Martin mail order pattern. Enjoyed on many different body types, it always gets a big thumbs up. With that lovely swing to the skirt, a hemline that dips to a point, and topped off with a sweetheart neckline, this apron is sure to please.
It is made from 100% quilter's quality cotton in electric shades of chartreuse, turquoise, orange and crimson with a big and bold yellow tulip pocket. It is fully lined in a black cotton. With bright chartreuse print 27" neck ties and 36" back ties, it is a one size apron that fits almost everyone (size 2 to 16). You can request a custom order if you would like a more generous size. On the practical side, it can be machine washed on cold and machine dried on low.
We are now making an Oven Mitt in Everglades Stripes to match! http://etsy.me/GTbRF7 We also make this apron in a lovely purple lilies print which you check out with this link: http://etsy.me/nhEmwe.
