This little kitty wears hand dyed tan crepe paper pants with a dusty rose crepe paper waistband. He is also embellished with two gold Dresden buttons, and carries a Jack-O'-Lantern treat bucket fashioned from wire and paper scrap. I have tea stained the kitty's entire body to give him an antique appearance, and completed him with a reproduction Victorian paper scrap cat face.
This spun cotton cat ornament is ready to hang from your Halloween feather tree, a peg board, cabinet knob, or wherever you imagine him. He is approximately 4 1/2" tall, and will come to you signed and dated.
Spun cotton is a craft that dates back to the late 1800s with origins in Germany. I enjoy keeping the tradition alive for fellow collectors of this unique art form.
