Exquisite vintage hand painted studio pottery bowl, similar to those designed and made by Gunnar Nylund for Rorstrand in the 1950's. Rather than a dipped solid color glaze, as in Nylund's work, this piece is hand painted in green, gray and black in a delicate spotted leaf design on the interior and a subtle, glossy black hare's fur on the exterior. I do not believe this is a Nylund piece, but similar in form, and appears to be of Scandinavian design and manufacture. Finely made, thin walled, and carefully glazed, this piece was created by a highly skilled craftsman. In great condition except for two small chips on the foot (see middle photo,) both on one side and slightly visible when viewing the side of the bowl.
