In Florence, Italy the wealthy and powerful Medici family reigned supreme from the 14th through the 18th century. The Medici’s had a taste for the extravagant, and in the 1700’s Francesco Redi, apothecary to Cosimo de Medici, created a now-renowned Jasmine-chocolate drink. This exotic beverage was served only to the most important Medici guests, and the recipe remained a guarded secret until the end of the Medici dynasty.

I cannot think of anything more decadent than Jasmine-infused cocoa – a swoon-worthy concoction, to say the least! MEDICI COCOA is my perfumed interpretation of this royal beverage, with tangy citrus top notes, a fragrant Jasmine heart, and a rich cocoa base with just a hint of syrupy liqueur. You may have a hard time deciding between eating this or slathering it on –I adamantly recommend slathering.

This listing includes: approximately 8-8.5 grams of perfume oil blended in a base of skin-nourishing jojoba oil. The perfume comes in a 9 ml (1/3 oz.) decorative glass bottle with an old-fashioned glass stopper/applicator. Your bottle will arrive with a cork to prevent leaking during shipment. When your perfume arrives, firmly wiggle the cork back and forth to remove it. Then, simply replace the cork with the glass stopper. The bottle measures 2.5” tall x (a little under) 1” wide (6.5 cm x 2.5 cm). These vintage-inspired glass bottles look elegant on a vanity or counter-top!
To apply: Remove the glass stopper and use it (or your finger) to apply the perfume oil to your pulse points, the back of your hands, and (as Coco Chanel famously said) anywhere you want to be kissed. Gently massage the oil into your skin.
Natural perfumes remain fragrant on the skin for approximately 2 to 5 hours, softly unfolding to reveal the layers of fragrance notes. To enjoy the most luxurious experience, I recommend applying your perfume every few hours – a beautiful way to renew your senses throughout the day!
