This awesome cuff bracelet is fashioned from anodized aluminum. Aluminum that is anodized has been treated in a chemical bath to form a very hard layer of aluminum oxide on the surface. This surface allows for the metal to be extremely durable and scratch resistant. This bracelet started as a strip of silver aluminum that was then attached to a layer of black aluminum by using six brass tube rivets, each done by hand, and then formed around a mandrel. The bracelet has been filed and tumbled for a smooth feel and finish. The aluminum is lightweight and feels great against the skin. Aluminum will not color your skin and is not prone to allergic reaction.
The cuff measures 6 3/4" in length, 1" in width, and can be adjusted slightly. It pushed comfortably up to my forearm at 8" around. This is a wonderfully versatile piece of jewelry that can be worn at casual or formal occasions by women or men. A great addition to your jewelry wardrobe!
If the aluminum gets dirty, it can be cleaned with just a mild soap and water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scrubbies on the black surface to avoid marring the finish.
