This pen has been covered with a custom mokume gane polymer clay technique. Mokume gane is borrowed from the Japanese metalsmiths. It is a way of manipulating clay to make the layers uneven and showing different colors (without a pattern) everywhere. You can see from the picture how each and every pen is different. The colors I used were transparent red, metallic blue, glitter purple, and transparent covered in silver leaf. Some pens nicely show all 4 colors, others just three. Because of the unique ability of mokume gane to be different with every slice, no two pens will ever be alike! To finish the pen, I added an aurora borealis glass hot fix crystals to the end of the pen to give it some sparkle. This pen has been sanded with 600, 800. 1000, 1200, & 1500 grit sandpaper to give it a high polish and perfect feel in your hand. This pen writes in black ink.

This listing is for ONE polymer clay pen, as in the first picture at right. There is no "choice" of pen. Each pen will be made from the same mokume gane block, and made at the time of ordering. This set is made with a combination of premo, fimo, & sculpey clays. Your item will be wrapped in tissue paper and tied with Raffia ribbons.
