The Card Seed Company of Fredonia N.Y. made these packets, and the story is that the company ceased business at some point in the 1920's, and a warehouse containing unused packets and advertising was discovered in the 1970's and the products made their way into the vintage market. (I also love that the town is Fredonia, but you have to be a Marx Brothers fan to understand that.)
Anyway, these packets are in nice condition -- the leek and the red pepper packets are pristine and the tomato packet has a crease along the front and the flap has a closed tear on the right hand side, right along the seam where the flap would have closed over.
Great for summertime display, a kitchen with a Farmer's Market vibe, or for crafting projects!
