Each skeleton key is embedded with a carefully selected mix of annual and perennial flower seeds. Used as place cards, they make a charming wedding addition that keeps on giving. Daisies, poppies, snapdragons, marigolds, zinnia, cosmos and other pretty garden flowers await guests who plant the seed paper place card. They are also affordable and earth-friendly. Each is made from recycled junk mail and used office paper that will naturally decompose as the plants grow. Just place under a thin layer of soil and keep wet to grow.
SIZE: 3 inches tall, about 1.3 wide
Set of 50 antique brown (or your choice color) plantable skeleton keys, loose + 50 mini hearts ready to tie onto the keys. Regular price: $1 per loose key; 86 cents ea. for orders of 150 or more loose keys. Herb seeds add $6. Hearts to add are 16 cents each. Options for colors and tags are described below.

Photos illustrate a variety of DIY uses. We can email you a PDF of blank tags so you can print out the tags on your own cardstock and add names (by hand). If you would like to us to print the cards for you, or assemble the tags and keys, we are happy to do so! Please contact us to let us know how we can customize the keys for you. The blank tags PDF is included in the listing price. Printed bride & groom cards (with wedding date) and planting instructions on the backs of the tags add 46 cents each. Tags all come printed with the same border or text. You can choose blank tags to hand write in names, or have bride and groom names plus wedding date printed inside the border. Printed seating cards with individual guests names/table numbers add 64 cents each. There are 3 different styles of tag to choose from for the cards, as seen in the photos. Raffia is included in packaging. Twine is $4 to add (dark brown and beige are available). Assembly/tie on is 80 cents each.

Seeds are fresh and hand-gathered for planting in 2013. Seeds included in the paper are listed in the materials section below. They are a mix of annuals, for first year color, and perennials for blooms in the years to follow: Snapdragons, poppies, daisies, columbine, dianthus/Sweet William, marigold, calendula, zinnia, asters, forget-me-nots, and cornflowers.

All paper is made-to-order to maintain freshness. Whenever possible, I prefer to time the production and shipment of orders to arrive about 2-3 weeks before the event date to ensure they arrive with plenty of time to assemble, and are also maximum freshness. Please let me know when you need to receive your order by so I can schedule them according to an appropriate 'due date.' Thank you! ~ Holly
Through winter, most orders will ship out within 1-2 weeks. During spring and summer, orders can sometimes take up to 3-4 weeks depending on the flow of orders. If you have concerns or need a rush order sooner than this, please contact me first to check about delivery time frame. There is a $28 rush order charge that is sometimes necessary for faster delivery.
Shipping is via Priority mail for all US addresses.
Yes, we ship internationally. Orders valued over $100 must go by delivery service with tracking.
Shipping charges are $35 and up depending on the destination, and although it is expensive, it is fast and reliable and when it's for your wedding, I want to be sure the package will get there in a timely fashion! Due to customs restrictions on seeds, we are unable to ship to New Zealand and Israel.
