I love how these clay pieces move like little trapeze artists hanging on a wire from my ear. Their little spiraling arms holding them tight to the wire.

When these porcelain clay twirls are first rolled out into a twirl from a ball of clay, they remind me of an unopened flower bloom, twisted tight. And from childhood trips to local caverns, memories of being in awe of the great stalactites and stalagmites and just wanting to touch them… Well - these you can touch, and play with as you wear them!

This listing is for a set of my porcelain clay twirl shard earrings. They will not be the identical shards in the photo, but will be quite similar since I make each clay piece and earring individually through the same process.

Please make sure you select your glaze color choice from the 12 colors in the third photo:
RootBeer
BrownPink
BloodRed
Pomegranate
FernGreen (modeled in photo)
PatinaGreen
TexturedLightTeal
GlacierBlue
PeacockBlue

With this particular Fern glaze color, I prefer to use sterling silver - either bright or oxidized (you decide what works best for you). Oxidized is shown.
Sterling Silver Price = $35.
Base Metal (non-tarnishing brass colored wire or copper wire) Price = $30.

Curious about how I create these clay twirl pieces? Check out a blog post I created describing my technique of rolling out a small ball of clay in-between two wooden textured blocks:
