The great painter, Karin Jurick, used to run a painting competition in which she would post a photo online of any given subject and invite painters from all over the world to make a painting based on the photo. This is one such painting of a few mannequins from a larger photo reference of a group of mannequin heads in a wig store window. There's something captivating about this painting for me. I tried to make the mannequins look like hip young women.
