Not all aisle runners are the same. Be sure to ask questions and understand the differences before ordering:
*****WHAT TYPE OF FABRIC IS IT?
- Non woven, polyester fabric is very sheer and tears as easily as paper. This is a mass manufactured product that comes in 100 foot rolls is very inexpensive (because it's not very durable).
- Vinyl and plastic runners will not absorb paint and it will flake off.
- Shiny fabrics like satin are slippery – especially with new shoes! Yikes!
Our PREFERRED fabric runners are a matte cotton fabric (a real woven cloth) that won’t rip or tear. (Compare to the material used for standard bed sheets). Ask for a swatch so you can see and compare the quality in person. We provide swatches free of charge.
*****HOW WIDE IS THE FABRIC?
Our PREFERRED fabric runners are 45 inches wide and fit two people very well, so your dress stays clean. We also offer DELUXE fabric runners that are 60 inches wide and are perfect for when both parents walk the bride down the aisle.
*****HOW LARGE IS THE DESIGN?
Look at the photos in the listing. If the runner is only 36 inches wide, and the design only takes up 1/3 of the width, it's only about 12 inches in size! Will anybody see it?
Our PREFERRED fabric runners are 45 inches wide and the design itself is approximately 40 inches wide (just about the entire span of the fabric).
*****CAN I USE IT AFTER THE CEREMONY?
Yes! Our PREFERRED fabric runners can be folded and/or cut and used as a cloth for the head table or a banner at the reception. There will not be any rips, tears or heel punctures in the fabric. After the wedding, your runner can be washed and made into a large pillow, blanket, quilt or framed as wall décor.
We are a professional company that did our first hand painted aisle runner back in 1998! Make sure that your runner is worthy of the thought, care, and expense that you have put into your wedding celebration. This will be the background for when you appear at your wedding and is as important as the flowers and other decorations for your ceremony. You don’t want it to look like a rushed, homemade craft project!
