1940s Two Handled Pie Basket

This lovely basket was used in the 1940's and 50's to carry pies. I can see it being used to carry pies to the county fair contest. There is a little wood stand inside so you can store 2 pies at a time.

The basket shows very well for it's age. There are no cracks in the weave but it does show minor water stains in the interior lid. Easy to carry with two handles and there is a little hook to keep the basket closed. The basket opens and closes on a hinge.

Measures 13" square and 8-1/4" high.
