This is a knitting pattern titled The Ella & The Grady Sleep Sacks. The pattern features instructions for two designs. A must-have for the mom of a newborn! PDF is available for immediate download after payment is confirmed.

The Ella Sack: This fun number is open on both ends for easy use when diaper changing. The gorgeous cable down the center front adds just the right touch. Knit out of a semi-solid or solid to show off the cable, it is a lightweight sack that will keep your little one cozy in cool or air-conditioned temperatures. This sack can be worn under the babies arms or with the arms in the sack.

The Grady Sack: This little cutie is knit in the round and starts with a section of ribbing. The St st section in the middle shows the beauty of self-striping sock yarn. The bottom of the sleep sack is decreased in to form a bag bottom. The perfect weight for the spring or summer baby. Grady is made to be worn under the baby’s arms or with the arms tucked.

Materials:
The Ella Sack: 450 yards of fingering weight yarn (sample knit out of 1 skein of Dream in Color Smooshy in color Melon Bomb)
The Grady Sack: 380 yards of fingering weight yarn (sample knit out of 2 skeins of Shibui Knits Sock in color Pebble)
Good yarn options: Dream in Color Smooshy; Shibui Knits Sock; Koigu KPPM; Tosh Sock

Pattern provides instructions for making a longer sleep sack. If you opt for the extra length, be sure to buy additional yardage.

Additionally, if you would like to stash bust with these projects, you can use up fingering weight yarn leftovers by switching at the BOR marker whenever you desire!

Sizing:
0 to 6 months

Ribbed areas measure 12 inches around and body measures 19 inches around (The Ella Sack); 20 inches around (The Grady Sack) after blocked. (Note: The sacks have a larger stretched circumference on baby.)
