I choose the cardboard for each piece by carefully studying the color, texture, and surface
variations. Every piece of cardboard that you see, and many that you can't see on the completed piece, is cut and meticulously glued on individually. And I love the colors!
I treat the cardboard sculpture with an acid neutralizing spray, and construct with archival glue. On occasion I use gesso, which is archival. I have been working with cardboard for 13 years, and clients tell me those pieces are still in fine shape!
THE CARDBOARD KITCHEN SHIPPING NOTES: To carefully protect your purchase I pack these sculptures very well and allow plenty of cushioning, hence the shipping charges. These do not fit into flat rate shipping boxes.
