This glass terrarium contains the beauty of the beach in a sleek modern vessel. Laying on a bed of sparkling white sand is a variety of sea shells, sea fans, stones, and green lichen. This terrarium comes as an easy and fun to assemble kit that takes only a minute or two to build. No watering needed. Measures 8.5" wide by 2" tall. Lichens are unusual creatures and are not a single organism the way most other living things are, but rather a combination of two organisms living together intimately. They are a combination of fungi and algae working together. No need to worry about this terrarium drying out, lichens are very hardy and simply go dormant when dry. Lichens become brittle and stiff when not watered, spritz very lightly with a little water and they become soft, pliable and spongy.
