It is in the shape of a 'maze book', which can be displayed in a number of ways, up or down, and in any shape. It stays where you put it thanks to the heavy paper it was made with, and the covers can be opened wide, like book ends. I developed the font I used to write the poem with, and the text wraps itself up and around the pages, winding back and forth with the strange shape of the paper. The covers are in leather, made to look like 'Jabberwock' hide.
The book is 2 3/4" x 7 1/5" closed, but it should never be closed! It's a sculpture that simply happens to be in the shape of a book (making transportation easy!), so it should be displayed open for people to explore the various turns and all the different writing. When displayed it can take approx. 2 feet of space, but that will depend entirely on how you choose to display it.

While the materials are study, art books are precious, one of a kind works of art, made with paper and ink, and should be treated with the utmost respect.
