A quirky stage image is hand-screened onto natural cotton muslin material. The top of the material is hemmed with a ribbon. To set up your own theater at home, hang the theater in a doorway like a curtain. Turn off the lights, but backlight the theater by leaving a light on behind it. Place your puppets between the light and the fabric to cast shadows on the screen.
Note- the closer the puppets are to the fabric, the sharper their shadows will be. You can also experiment with flashlights for spectacular effects- camping "headlights" are highly recommended!
This theater folds up flat to store and travel, and makes an excellent gift for families that play together.
