Our handmade high quality solar light lids will add instant beauty to any mason jar. They tolerate rain just like any other garden solar light. All they need is the sunshine during the day to charge, and then at night enjoy this lovely, eco-friendly one of a kind solar light. It makes for wonderful evening lighting for a garden party, lighted up walk way, deck, outdoor celebration, anywhere that you want to add some soft lighting.
These solar lids are designed to fit any regular mouth (2.5" diameter) mason jar.

These Lids are incredibly easy to apply, just twist the lid onto your jar and they are ready to soak up the sun! With these lids you can turn any mason jar in to a one of a kind solar light.

*These are rain tolerant and designed to be left outside.
*The Solar Light is completely automatic (No on and off switch). The light charges during the day and automatically comes on at night or in a dark area.
* Approximately 8-10 hours operating time on an average sunny day charge.
*The solar panel and L.E.D. (Light Emitting Diode) bulb are built into the lid. The reflective globe sits flush with the jars rim and this is included in your purchase.
*The longer they are exposed to sunlight, the brighter and longer lasting the light will be!
*The solar lids twist directly onto the jar.
* These may be used as indoor night lights but will need to be placed back outside to get recharged.
*Replacement Rechargeable Ni-Cd Batteries can be purchased from any home center, online, or local electrical store such as as Radio Shack.
*If you experience dim light, the lids need more outside sunlight to charge.
*Upon arrival of package, solar lights will to be recharged since they have been in complete darkness during their travel to you.
*Advantages: Solar lighting is safe and environmentally friendly since they do not require external power supply. And they run cost free, you do not have to worry about electricity bills.
* No maintenance is required except for an occasional wiping of the solar panel to keep it free of dust, dirt, debris, or snow to allow the batteries to charge properly for optimum performance.
* Solar lighting is dependent directly on UV (ultra violet) rays. UV rays exist in cloudy weather as well as in sunny conditions. However, the solar collector and battery capacity will absorb and perform best when exposed to direct sunlight
*For best results: place the solar light in direct sunlight, away from over hanging trees and away from structures that cast large shadows.
