A different dish each day to explore new textures and ways of working. Find more work in progress pictures and information on my flickr stream http://www.flickr.com/photos/c-urchin/
This flat-bottomed dish has a coral-like texture. Most of the piece has been left unglazed, but the larger craters have been glazed with a chocolate brown stoneware glaze and filled with glass. The glaze and glass combine to make different subtle hues. This dish also has a wonderful translucency. This dish is subtly stamped with my initials, 99-365 17.10.10 across the edge.
The piece is 4 inches/10cm across and 3/4inch/2cm high.
This is intended as an object of beauty only....it is not intended for food use.
