Lot of hand made Russian bobbin lace yardage, 1920s
From kickshaw
Three lengths: The first length is 21 feet long, has one tag attached with Russian writing and measures 3 3/8 inches wide. The second length has red and blue threads, no attached tag and measures 2 inches wide X 22 feet long. The third length has two tags attached with Russian writing and measures 4 inches wide X 22 feet long. These came from a family that imported lace and other textiles from across Europe and Russia in the 1910s and 1920s. I don't know if these are pre or post Revolutionary but I suspect they date after - from the 1920s, and one source I read suggested Russian bobbin lace production was professionalized as a business under Lenin and used as a viable export. All are brand new, never used, still tied with string.
