Lavender is a wonderfully relaxing herb and smells lovely! Mugwort is used to invigorate tire feet (and was once used by Roman soldiers to relieve aching feet on their long marches). Sage helps relieve joint pain and is strengthening. Rosemary helps increase circulation and is a natural muscle relaxant. Baking soda softens the skin. Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate which, absorbed through the skin, not only increases magnesium levels in the body but also acts as a sedative for the nervous system, reduces swelling, and relaxes muscles. It also draws toxins from the body and is a natural exfoliant.
In 2010, I walked over 500 miles training for the Susan G. Komen 3 Day for the Cure. I raised over $3,000 to fight breast cancer and walked 60 miles in the event to raise awareness. This foot soak was inspired by the recipe that I used post walk to help prevent stiff muscles and soreness. I followed it up with my Warrior Salve.

Use: Make yourself comfortable in the coziest chair you have. Slowly immerse your feet in the hot (as hot as you can stand) water. Cover the basin with a thick towel to keep the heat in. Have a friend massage your head and shoulders while you sip a cup of herbal tea and relax. Add some smooth river rock to the bottom of the basin to give your feet a massage while they're soaking. 2-3 tablespoons per foot soak bath (approximately 2-5 soaks per tin depending on use).
Foot soak comes packaged in an 8 oz. reusable steel tin. Athena's Armoury & Apothecary is committed to recycling and repurposing: please reuse this container when you run out of the soak.
Ships via USPS Priority Mail.
