Bought new in San Fransisco in the late 1930's. They were used for entertaining through the golden era of dinner parties and elegant evening soirees.
The art deco design is simple and timeless. The pattern shows the transition that occurred between the 1930's and 1940's; the 30's were known for their smooth lines and the 40's became known for their return to simpler, colonial designs.
Because the pieces were made in 1936, they have a little bit of both eras in the design. There are neat, gold leafed lines that border a modern, green specked pattern.
Every plate is in great condition, and all have been black light tested. There are no cracks, chips, or scratches on any piece.
Each piece is clearly marked with Mark S on the bottom and is about 7.5 inches across.
Guaranteed vintage and authentic. Satisfaction guaranteed.
