"The 1938 Lux Book of Knitting Designs"
Complete 68-page booklet scanned into a high resolution PDF. This really was the Golden Age of knitting! Puff sleeves, peasant looks and gay buttons were vogue. This issue has the patterns rated for novice and advanced knitters.

Lux Knitting Books - highly collectable and highly prized, Lux's smart styling and quirky illustrations make them highly popular with the vintage knitting aficionado. Mainly published in Canada, the UK and Australia, this is the Australian edition.

Just some of the contents include:
- gay peasant jumper
- smartly sleek ribbed cardigan
- smocked pulloever with collar detail
- and more!

This Lux was in terrible condition (stained and torn, it'd been through World War II and back again!). While I have cleaned it up, some of the wear is visible in the scans but this doesnt affect the readability of the patterns

As always, the Lux Book contains kitsch adverts for Lux soap "The official soap in Hollywood Studios!"

This listing is for the above PDF pattern, available by Instant Download (in the Downloads section of your Etsy account). I can also email it to you instead if requested.

The images on Etsy are lower resolution than the file you'll be receiving.
All my vintage patterns are out of copyright (public domain) and by purchasing a pattern, you’ve ensured that another copy exists, somewhere in the world. Public domain means you can make anything from the pattern to sell (just please don't resell or pirate the PDF, thanks!).

These patterns have been pre-loved down the through the years, and original owner's names and notations may be visible on the scans.

You'll need Adobe to open the file, however I can print and post for an additional charge - just convo me if needed. Otherwise, the pattern is available in your Etsy account under ‘Downloads’ or can be emailed to you within 24-48 hours of purchase to an email address if requested.
