mid century wooden monkeys

a great pair of vintage wooden monkeys! kay bojesen inspired design. these are probably from the 50's or 60's. this set includes one larger monkey and one smaller monkey. arms and legs are movable, and the heads swivel a bit. the bodies are made with a darker wood (teak? walnut?) with a beautiful grain, and the feet and details on the face are made of a lighter wood. little round black wooden eyes. no markings.

they're in great condition considering their age, visible glue on the small monkey at the left ear as well as one of the feet, and around the "snout" of the larger monkey, not too evident unless you look closely.
