My monogrammed burlap pillow series features original letters that are drawn and cut out by hand and stenciled using high pigment, black artist acrylic. The hand embroidered running stitches are made with black, 100% pearl cotton thread. And to complete the overall design, I use a mix-and-match set of three over sized vintage buttons.
The sage green burlap is pre-washed in near boiling water and mild detergent to remove any odor and to tighten the weave - it works wonders! The pillow is lined with 100% cotton broadcloth. The sham is shown here with a 16" feather/down insert. The finished pillow measures approximately 17" square.
