These soft, huggable LITTLE SWEETHEARTS make ideal ‘first dolls’ for tiny tots. When snuggled in a snowy white towel dolly will be extra cuddly (NB - towel not included).
The knitting pattern for these cute little bunting babies is based on Waldorf dolls of a similar type. Great care has been taken to ensure that all parts will be firmly secured so that no part of the doll will be unsafe for babies and young children to handle.
TWO SIZES:- Small doll - 15cm (6in), large doll is 20cm (8in)
TWO STYLES:- Straight edge gown or round edge gown.
TWO DESIGNS:- Striped or heart design. If you prefer to knit a dolly in just one colour without stripes or hearts then simply ignore the changes of colour given in the pattern.
LITTLE SWEETHEARTS are knitted on a pair of 3.25mm needles (US 3)
YARN – Use double knitting (DK) yarn which is baby-safe and washable. You will require approximately 25gms – 30gms of the main shade. (USA - light worsted, Australia - 8 ply).
BASIC KNITTING SKILLS REQUIRED: Cast on, cast off (bind off), knit, purl, increase and decrease. The pattern is easy to follow with lots of coloured pictures to assist with every stage of your doll making. All pattern rows are numbered.
