This orange colored dreamy plate features Mr. Blackbird wearing his pyjama hat surrounded by stars and moonlit night sky. This plate measures 4" in diameter. and is perfect to display on the wall and comes with a discreet little wire on the back for easy hanging. It is food safe and can be used for serving purposes. It is first carefully hand formed from red earthenware clay and then hand painted with colorful slips and glazes.

There is lots of attention to detail in this piece, the drawing is done with very fine brushes. I love to draw in pen and ink and hope to capture the freedom of that style in my hand painted pottery. This piece has a beautiful glossy finish and has been fired twice in my kiln. Signed on the back.
