My leather notebooks are all made from high quality reclaimed leather and suede- pure scrap that I rescued on its way to the trash heap. Inside I always fill these books with recycled 70lb white drawing paper with a proper heft to hold pen and ink or pencil.

For this leather journal I have taken a reclaimed piece of navy blue leather and turned it inside out to show off the gorgeous blue suede on the inside. I have sewn a scalloped stitch all around the cover, including the wraparound, and attached nearly lime green leaves to the flap. Attached to the leaves is matching blue snap button to keep your book closed. This book also has gorgeous olive end sheets of Kozo paper which is made in Thailand: exotic Napa-style patterns are screenprinted in gold or copper metallic ink on richly colored 100% Kozo paper. I have sewn the book using linen thread and the long-stitch method that allows the book to lie flat while in use- I've also attached matching beads in light green and blue to the spine for that added extra appeal.
