I have added these to vintage huck towels to personalize them for our home and they are perfect for linens, pillows or anything that you may want to personalize!
In perfect vintage condition!
My pictures show a couple of letters on a vintage linen towel and the entire available alphabet. We also have these letters in a lovely creamy ecru color under separate listing.
We have every letter of the alphabet in this set except Q Z X. We also have this set in 1 1/2" under separate listing. We have a number of full sets of these in both sizes and colors.
A bit of information on monogramming:
Although there have been periods in history when single initial monograms(hankies) and two-letter monograms(towels) were preferred, the three-letter monogram has come to symbolize the standard layout for sheets or other large items. In the 19th and Early 20th Centuries, when the rules for three-letter monograms were created, it would have been fairly easy to decide which letters represented which parts of an individual’s name. The letter on the left would be for the woman's first initial the letter on the right would be for the middle initial. The letter in the would be for the woman's last name. Linen's were traditionally monogrammed in the woman's initials as part of her trousseau.
