an old wooden serpentine dresser with a desperate need for a new finish.
What it is...
a cheery red dresser with cream knobs, great curves, original wheels, a bit of distressing and beautiful wallpaper with red hummingbirds and gold leaves on both side panels and lining every drawer which makes it one of a kind!
What it isn't...
a new piece of furniture with modern smooth drawer rails and no nicks or scrapes. One drawer bottom needed replacing so I took it to a furniture repair shop, and there were a few bumps and bruises that needed some filling, but I left the ones that added some character. The original finish had some lovely patterns in the wood, and some of these still show through a bit under the red paint.
It would make a wonderful statement in a bedroom or even an entry way.

Local pick up is of course free, and delivery is available in the Dallas Ft. Worth Metroplex, and cost depends on location, but is minimal and really to cover the cost of gas.
