Glass Knife Vintage Pink Depression Glass Steel-ite

This is would be a great addition to any cutlery collection! Steel-ite glass cake and fruit knives were sold for use in kitchens in the 30s and 40s. This knife is made of glass and sharpened to a very fine cutting edge. Because people only had steel knives, not stainless steel, they were used for cutting citrus fruit, tomatoes, and other acidic foods, the flavor of which would be tainted by steel knives and also would stain the steel knives. This vintage knife features the original box with the original instructions.
