About this Item:
"Live, Travel, Adventure, Bless" is a very large original mixed media painting on canvas, created with my own photography, acrylic paint, watercolor, strips of metal, book pages, old letters and found paper. The quote is from one of my biggest inspirations, Jack Kerouac, who wrote it in his book Desolation Angels. It speaks to me about the simplest part of traveling and exploring-- just simply doing it, if for no one but yourself. I wanted to make this piece very large and bold and in-your-face, like Kerouac's work has been to me.
The sides are embellished with oxidized tack nails to give it a rustic, industrial feel. This painting is very big and measures 48" x 24" (4 feet x 2 feet) on a pre-stretched, gallery wrapped canvas, and is sealed with an archival semi-gloss varnish. The sides of the canvas are collaged and painted, so it will look great right out of the box with no framing necessary. It will arrive very carefully packaged, signed and ready to hang with a sawtooth hanger on back.
