Fill your terra cotta pot (or other planter) with rock on the bottom then either the organic soil I sell here (which is the same soil the moss grows on)and then place the moss on top of that. You want to fill your pot to almost the top. You want your pot to be slightly smaller then the moss so you can tuck in the moss along the edges. Be gentle here...if the moss cracks it is o.k just gently use your hands to push it back together. This stuff is great because you can do this and the cracks will virtually disappear. After a while it will grow and fill in the crack or section that might have come out.
If you need to add a section to fill a larger pot than the moss you have...again pushing together a smaller piece into a missing spot will work.
This piece will fill a 6-7" terra cotta pot just fine. I do have smaller sizes of moss available for the 4-5" pots or smaller too.
I show it here with my Cake Topper or Plant stake that can be personalized for weddings and more.
This moss has in no way come in contact with any pesticides so it is great for you vivarium tanks!
Mood moss can be used in both open and closed style terrariums.Open style just requires a bit more watering.
The moss is great for many projects and looks great on the soil surface of your bonsai planters. The moss is alive and easy to care for.
This is the same moss I sell in smaller pieces for my terrariums here. You can crumble this up and it will continue to grow...each piece...just like the moss starter package that I have here for sale.
