Make your own ginger ale! Try this real "throwback" recipe from the days when soda was a tonic made with herbs, honey and yeast. This kit contains enough dry powdered ginger root and champagne yeast (regular baking yeast will leave a sour taste in your brew) for at least 5 gallons of ginger ale (more if you like it less spicy). Kit also comes with a reusable unbleached cotton tea bag, balloon (acts as an "airlock") and detailed instructions. All that you will need is a fermenting vessel (glass or plastic, empty soda bottles or apple juice jugs work great), Your favorite natural sweetener and a little patience. Super easy and a great project for any age (kids will need help from an adult).
