This bowl is sturdy enough to be functional, but I wouldn't let the kids wash it. It is microwavable and dishwasher safe and food safe. The bowl doesn't have a foot, but isn't really tippy ...it sits pretty well.
There are few tiny flaws on the bottom of the bowl...
