the chain is a robust 24k gold overlay (over brass) that won't wear off or change color, ever. it's convertible to a short double strand necklace (see clasp closeup).
crystals average 5/8" wide by 1 5/8" long each; chain is 15" long as a doubled, shortened necklace and 30" in all its lengthened glory.
