The inside of this bowl is painted in shades of lavender, lilac, and orchid purple.
The bowl is constructed entirely from paper pulp. The paper pulp was made (by me) from paper that was used in an office. Every batch of pulp is a little bit different, but all batches contain high concentrations of standard copy paper and cardstock. Some batches of pulp contain dryer lint or recycled pulp drink carriers or cartons (like what eggs come in) or other miscellaneous papers.
There is a texture to both the inside and outside of the bowl. The inside of the bowl is more mottled in texture. Where as the outside of the bowl is slightly smoother since it is the part of the bowl that was in direct contact with the mould form.
This is a paper product. While the bowl is painted — it is still made of paper: do not get it wet or spray it with cleaning fluids. The bowl is intended for decorative purposes. It should not be used to store non-wrapped food. The edges of the rim of the bowl have been left natural (as opposed to being cut with scissors). The edges are somewhat delicate. Excessive or rough handling may lead to breakage, it is, after all, made of paper.
