This vintage quilt was "discovered" in eastern Tennessee. I am guessing as to the age of it. The quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted. Several of the fabrics are very worn indicating that it was a quilt that was lovingly used.

The cotton used for the batting in this quilt makes it very warm and heavy.

I wanted to use this quilt as a cutter quilt to make smaller items but just couldn't bring myself to cut it up. Whether you choose to gently display it or to use it as a cutter quilt is your choice. Either way, it will remind you of a by-gone era.
