This is the owl softie pattern I designed for a Harry Potter Camp I taught. I designed this to be SUPER easy - I needed to be able to make it with 20 kids in two hours. And make it they did! What you get:

* a full-sized pattern (you'll have to tape two pattern pieces together)
* complete instructions
* loads of step by step photos

Materials you'll need:

* fabric for owl front and back (if you use fat quarters you'll have scraps)
* scraps of felt for the big eye circles
* 2 buttons for the eyes (I used 7/8" buttons but you could go bigger or smaller)
* scrap of felt for the beak (optional)
* stuffing
* sewing machine, thread, basic sewing tools

Skills you'll need: (pattern has links to free video tutorials)

* sewing a straight line and turning a corner
* sewing curves
* sewing on a button
* stuffing a softie
* using the iron
* edgestitching (or whipstitch or ladder stitch)

Time you'll need:

* 1-2 hours
