The metal tree is approximately 12” high by 11” wide with a base that measures 5” by 3 ½” and has a beautiful distressed copper finish. The rectangular base is an inch deep and perfect for storing more milagros, charms, or a rosary. Hanging from the leaves and branches are 30 Sacred Heart milagros, charms, medals and original, hand-painted miniature retablos (icons)!
There are traditional milagros from Mexico and Peru, medals from Italy, and antique hearts made of metal,bronze, brass and several in sterling silver. The miniature retablos (icons) are one of a kind, painted in acrylic on hand cut copper and brass, some of which also have stamped designs. All are finished in all natural shellac to protect the images and their colors. They are decorated with an assortment of beads including coral and one perfect, tiny seashell.
Some 20 of the 30 ornaments can be removed from the tree and used as pendants! (Find where the 'jump ring' is cut and carefully exert pressure in opposite directions until the ring opens enough to detach it from the tree. Then string a cord, or your own chain through the ring and close the opening.)
Suggested uses include: A shrine to the Sacred Heart of Jesus; a Christmas tree; a centerpiece on your dining room table; or as a unique and eclectic addition to your art collection.
