Gray weathered wood. A dilapidated house too long in the salt and sun and wind. Storm clouds rolling in over the water. Days so dark you'd swear that it's night; nor'easters, hurricanes. Hours spent looking out of the living room window of the house I lived in, as a child, on the ocean; watching waves swell and seagrass blow, and not being able to tell where the ocean ended and the sky began. Driftwood. Fog. Silver and smoke. This colorway is all of those things, and more.

I have been dyeing yarn professionally for Hanks Yarn and Fiber since 2007. With the closing of the yarn store, I am beginning to bring in many - but not all - of the colorways I dyed under the "Perhaps Today is a Good Day to Dye" line (which you can find on Ravelry, however, the name has recently changed to "HaldeCraft HandDyed"). This colorway is one of my favorites, and even though I have recently had to change it's name, the dye technique is exactly the same. I hope you're has happy with it as I am.

All of my yarns are hand-dyed singly or in batches of two. If you would like to order for a large project, please contact me and I will be more than happy to dye your order with every attempt to get each skien as matching as possible.

This yarn was dyed in a smoke-free, but not pet-free home; however, once dyed it is kept sealed in bins which cats and dogs do not have access to.

Quantity listed is the quantity I currently have in stock; if you are looking for more, I am happy to do custom orders. Custom orders currently need a turnaround of 3-4 weeks to allow for acquiring more base yarn, dyeing, drying, and winding.
