Inspired by the animals in the third and eighth movements of The Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns (Hémiones / Personnages à longues oreilles), the donkey rod puppet is constructed from corrugated cardboard and paper. This is an original design intended to serve as a decoration or be gently used in a puppet show, and makes a great shadow puppet as well.
