Urn 2 is from a series of six variations on a theme that illustrates a variety of painting, woodturning and woodworking techniques I am interested in.
The elements that appear to be made of steel and copper are indeed metal.
The elements that appear to be glass are actually made of MDF signboard that has been coopered into a cone shape, refined on a wood lathe, carefully painted, finished and rubbed to a spectacular high gloss.
Pictures 4 and 5 show the inner details of the lid and copper bowl.

Lid is secured to bowl with
two removable brass pins.
